Syrve Updates and Improvements in 2025

Written by Dale Shelabarger | 22 Dec 2025

With the end of 2025 on the immediate horizon, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the updates and enhancements that we’ve made to the Syrve platform this past year. And there have certainly been plenty of them, from improvements to our KDS and scheduling tools, to the shelf manager and website builder. We begin our non-exhaustive odyssey in the frigid month of February.

The Winter Update

Fittingly, we got the ball rolling with the Winter Update - a significant product release headlined by an expansion of Syrve App’s functionality. For the first time, operators were able to manage inventory documents and access their database via their browser.

A series of UI improvements were also made to the KDS with the addition of snack boxes, combos and prep status visuals. To streamline workflows, keyboard shortcuts and order sorting were also deployed.

Additional tweaks were made to company refunds as well. To guard against employee misuse, a safeguard was introduced that colour-codes and highlights duplicate refunds, while it became possible to determine which payment method was originally made when issuing a refund.

Invoicing and financial document management didn’t escape our attention either, with a pair of timely improvements including a brand new feature, Document Templates. This enables operators to create printed form templates for purchasing and electronic invoices, which can then be exported as PDF and XLSX documents.

Additional Updates

  • Dish Availability Scheduling
  • Option to Publish Additional Website Pages
  • Faster Payment Method Updates
  • Inventory Count Threshold Adjustments

The Spring Update

The Spring Update was rolled out in June and brought with it a raft of back-office refinements, among them Work Calendar enhancements, time-saving upgrades to Shelf Manager, and functional improvements to supplier management.

For the Work Calendar, a new monthly view option was added for easier shift planning as well as autosave and schedule export features. To improve the effectiveness of Shelf Manager, POS write-offs were introduced and the ability to track items cooked in advance.

Managing suppliers, never an easy task, was simplified thanks to the introduction of real-time pricing views, automated price efficiency alerts and a new side-by-side comparison filter.

Two further KDS updates were also deployed to help high-volume and fine-dining restaurants including time-based order sorting and column-based scrolling.

Additional Updates

  • Grubtech Integration with Deliveroo and Other Delivery Providers
  • Ecommerce Display Improvements
  • Inventory Management In-Progress Statuses and Step-Skipping
  • Call Center Improvements to Order Management and Processing
  • Syrve App Discount Management and Chart of Accounts Access

The Summer Update

Of all the product releases in 2025, the Summer Update was perhaps the most exciting: a brand new payment and ordering platform was rolled out along with a dedicated mobile inventory app. Our customer-facing screens also underwent a major revamp.

But in the UK, the launch of SyrvePay was the biggest news by far. Developed in partnership with Mollie, it allows servers to seamlessly process orders and payments on a single handheld device.

The introduction of the Syrve Inventory App also generated plenty of enthusiasm thanks to its ability to speed up stock counts, with a barcode scanner and image recognition generating plenty of positive feedback from customers.

Aside from the launch of brand new products and features, the Summer Update gave our development team the perfect opportunity to re-imagine many of our existing systems, in particular our customer-facing screens.

For the customer POS displays, scrolling functionality and portrait/horizontal modes were unveiled, allowing for the display of large orders. And a new design editor, dine-in queue displays and order statuses were added to the Arrival Screen.

Additional Updates

  • Deactivation Enabled for Individual Supplier Products
  • OLAP Report Setup Simplified
  • XERO Invoice and VAT Integration Improved
  • Call Center Order Cancellation and Modifier Management Enhancements

The Autumn Update

There wasn’t much of a let-up in our final update of 2025, with a slew of additional improvements ensuring we finished the year strongly. Small but meaningful tweaks were made to Call Center workflows, a new Split Bill feature was deployed, and four separate improvements were made to web-based online ordering.

The Call Center improvements were all about usability and operational enhancement – a ping sound now alerts staff when a new order appears together with a pop-up banner when one is created. There’s also greater control over who is permitted to cancel orders.

The Split Bill feature constitutes a major step-up in terms of group order handling. Now, front-of-house staff can take an entire group order, then assign individual items to specific guests at checkout.

Online ordering through Syrve-powered websites was made far more flexible thanks to the introduction of four enhancements: the ability to place orders outside of business hours, better filtering and tagging for allergens, a new build-your-own dish feature and menu scheduling.

Additional Updates

  • Improved Aggregator Commission Tracking in Syrve App
  • Centralised Purchase Orders for Chain Operators
  • Quick Menu Editing Added to Syrve App
  • Order Edit Restrictions Removed from Waiter Terminals
  • Multi-Menu Mapping for JustEat Integrations

Final Thoughts

And that’s pretty much a wrap. As you can see, we’ve delivered a wide range of updates, all designed to help our clients improve their operations. You may also have noticed a recurring theme running throughout this update recap - the continual improvements we’ve been making to Syrve App. Our goal is to expand and extend its functionality considerably - you can take it to the bank that further enhancements are in the pipeline. With that, we’d like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

2026? Bring it on.
